Creating A New Web

FrontPage 2000 will keep track of the pages in your web site (simply referred to as a "web" in FrontPage).  It can automatically add navigation buttons and track changes that you make to pages in order to keep the pages that link to them up to date.  It can also include certain elements on every page in order to help maintain consistency in design throughout the site.

In order to do any of this, however, you must first tell FrontPage that you intend to create a new site and where it should be kept.

Creating the Web

Be sure that you have a floppy disk in the drive before continuing!

Use the menu: File - New - Web

A dialog box will appear asking you what kind of web you want to create and where to put it.
Choose "One Page Web."

Be sure to specify "a:\ as the location for your web.

And, after a little work by FrontPage, the web is created on the floppy disk.
